Martin Luther King Jr.: The Peace Fighter Imagine being separated from society, and you couldn’t be with people who looked different from you. You couldn’t go to certain restaurants and stores; you couldn’t use certain bathrooms or water fountains. You always had to sit at the back of the bus. Martin Luther King Jr. knew how that felt, and he nonviolently fought to change the black segregation.

King was married to Coretta Scott King from 1953-1968; he had four children, Yolanda Denise King 1955-2007, Martin Luther King Ш 1957, Dexter Scott King 1961, Bernice Albertine King 1963 (“Martin Luther King Jr.”).
