For this research paper we were told to pick a person who did and act of civil disobedience. I chose to do my paper on Martin Luther King Jr. He was a great man who did great things. I thought I would do my essay on him for these reasons.

Martin Luther King Jr was an American Baptist minister and activist who was a leader in the Civil Rights Movement. He grew up in Atlanta GA, and was born January 15th, 1929. He had 4 children with Coretta Scott King. He was the 1st President of the Southern Christian Leadership Conference. Martin Luther King had many powerful speeches, his most famous one was “I have a Dream.” His speech had moved so many people and had created an act of civil disobedience. He stood up for racism. He stood up for his dream.
