In 1835, Samuel Morse discovers that wire could transfer signals, creating the first electromagnet telegraph. He also created a set of beats to use to resemble the alphabet when using the telegraph. The telegraph also played a huge roll in military use: “…the vast utility and indispensable importance of the electric telegraph, both as an administrative agent and as a tactical factor in military operations.”(A.
