Martin Buber was considered, by many, a theological existentialist. Buber was born Austria in 1878. (Mayhall and Mayhall, 95). He had an interesting childhood surrounded by many great intellectuals. Martin Buber's childhood and upbringing set the stage for his career. Buber was immersed in studying and intellectual thought very early in life and continued to immerse himself in his studies for the rest of his life.
