Science Fiction. A fictional genre of literature or movies that is based on scientific or technological advances and many social or environmental changes. Both the novel Martian Chronicles by Ray Bradbury and the film Soylent Green (1973) directed by Richard Fleischer are Science Fiction pieces that expresses fears. Two specific fears that these pieces exhibits is the fear of loss of free will and the fear of losing the world as we know it. In the film Soylent Green, resources were minimum to New York City, everyone was fearing that they themselves would lose their world as they knew it. Everyone in that city was losing their free will and could not get what the need or anything. Ray Bradbury’s novel Martian Chronicles express these fears
