Have you ever had to move to a new state or country? Some might say that the experience was fun or scary. It was probably nothing compared to the hardships Americans faced in the early 1800s as they travelled to a new place to live. In particular, I am going to follow the story of Martha Williams Reed, an Oregon pioneer. In an interview, she describes the hardships her and her family faced as they moved across the plains.
