Martha Rinaldi Case

Martha Rinaldi graduated from The University of Iowa and perceives an MBA in one of the top 10 business schools located in Chicago with an emphasis in marketing and management information system. After completing her first year of studying Martha received an internship with Deep Dave Pizza. Throughout her internship, Deep Dave Pizza CEO informs Martha how pleased he was with her work and that a job offer would be waiting for her after graduation. However, when the time came Martha had two job offers one from Deep Dave Pizza and Potomac Waters. After researching both companies Marth felt that Potomac Waters would offer her more of a stable job and more marketing experience, therefore, she denied Deep Dave Pizza and accepted Potomac Waters offer. After working for a year at Potomac Water: Health Drink Division Martha had realized that she might not get the learning experience she had hope for at the beginning. However, she would have to start all over again in a new department meaning it can take her more time to get promoted. Staying with Potomac would also provide Martha with a stable job and the opportunity to participate in a new project. Transferring to a new department would be more complicated because she would not know what to expect from it and would have to start working with another team as well. Martha transferring to a new department would not make any promises of her situation getting any better with the company. Martha staying with her current company can also create rumors stating that maybe she was not capable of keeping up her job in the Health and drink division. If rumors do happen it can end up to Martha’s new team members misjudging her and her working
