That's how life would be on Mars. People that will go to Mars would have to miss out on all the enjoyable things they like to do on Earth. Also they would have no privacy, instead they would have to stick together and defend each others lives. Its like you are playing a sport, you can't leave your position unless a team player covers your position until you get back, but here if nobody covers your position you might not survive. On Mars astronauts would have to watch how they eat and drink because, “Each astronaut will be able to use about 50 liters of water per day” (Mars One). The connection between my article Mars, the red planet and The Martian by Andy Weir is that Mark Watney uses Mars’s two moons Phobos and Deimos to help him travel to the Pathfinder so he can communicate with NASA for help. When he travels at night he can’t see any of the landmarks like the craters to help him know the direction he is going so he uses Phobos and Deimos to help him travel. “Mars doesn’t have a magnetic field. So I navigate by Phobos. It whips around Mars so fast it actually rises and sets twice a day, running west to east.…

Most people do not think about what will happen once there are people on Mars, however, and what they will do then. Survival and living a sufficient life away from the civilization on Earth are common things one might think of. “The Coming Schism” by James E. and Alcestis R. One last reason why people shouldn’t go to Mars is because there are so many risks of Death in atmospheric pressure, temperature, and common casualties such as sickness or even as simple as a suit ripping. These can also be fatal because the pressure is so different there that anyone would die in seconds if something went wrong and their body met the outside air. The temperature also gets as low as 150°C which would cause death by freezing but a human would die by the pressure way before freezing. Let alone all of these horrible casualties, there would also be extreme boredom because all day people would do chores, go to the bathroom, and then conduct research. These are only a few of the many reasons of why not to waste time going to…

Since Mars has such low gravity you will have to find a way to keep your muscles strong. Second, time away from Earth’s gravity harms the human body. For example, bones and muscles get weaker, the body produces less blood, and heart muscles will deteriorate. Since the Earth has more gravity than Mars, your body would not be able to survive. Third, Mars travelers could face severe sleep…

Humans have pondered on the question, “Are we alone?” for centuries, however, humankind still lacks an answer. Human beings are cognizant and curious of the world surrounding them. So much so that governments, including the United States government, spend billions of dollars on space programs to explore the solar system, the planet Mars in particular. As our earth develops into a planetary, polluted waste, Mars could eventually become our new home.…

Mars would be the planet to expect to show the greatest variation in apparent brightness as seen from Earth. None of the planets makes a large percentage change in its distance from the Sun. Mercury only makes a moderate change in its distance from Earth, which tends to be canceled by its phases. Mercury can hardly be seen except near Greatest Elongation, so it’s a never far from being a half-Mercury phase if visible. Venus makes a large fractional change only about 0.3 to 1.6 AU, but this is offset by the smaller fraction of illuminated surface, we see due to the phases.…

Being the closest planet to Earth, mankind has a burning curiosity to get to Mars. Mars can teach us history about the universe, and how the Earth was formed. Some may ask why this is important. If discoveries such as new elements are on Mars, maybe the chemical formula of those substances can hold a cure for cancer, or maybe a way to reproduce an organism. Learning how to grow plants in in hostile environments is really important because each day humans pollute more and more, soon, the earth won’t give much back in terms of life.…
