The Mars Exploration Rover (MER) Mission is a mission started by NASA. This ongoing robotic space mission involves two rovers, Opportunity (MER-B) and Spirit (MER-A), to explore planet Mars’ surface and geology. The scientific objective of this mission is to search for a wide range of rocks and soils that may be a clue to Mars’ past water activity. The mission’s objective is also to determine what the minerals, rocks, and soils on Mars are composed of. Over the next few decades, NASA will conduct several missions to state whether life is suitable not on Mars or not. Since life requires water, and there has been theories that Mars had water in the past, it is really crucial to know if Mars’ environment was ever suitable for life. Even though
