Revkin, and the short article “Sea Stars”, by Barbara Hurd”, we gain a greater understanding of how similar we are to nature in terms of adaptability, persistence, and resilience. In “Called Out”, Kingsolver, talks about how flowers have to adapt to it’s new environment, the desert. In “Defense of Everglade Pythons”, Marris, informs us about Pythons adapting to the Everglades and some people want them all gone. In “Sea Stars”, Hurd, is informing us that Sea Stars are having to struggle trying to stay alive in a narrow space. It’s a sunny day and life was good. It was a normal school day. At the time I was only four and I was honestly so excited to go to school and see my best friend.
