In most of his writings he tend show part of his identity like his religion, race, beliefs, and nativity. Just like in this story he is telling here about the beliefs in the tribe of the Ibos, the same tribe or group of people he is a member of. And also for what I have read about Chinua, he is known for incorporating words from his tribe (Ibo or Igbo) as well as Pidgin English (a form of English usually heard in some parts of the word that had gone under British Empire). Paul’s letter to the Corinthians that women should keep silence which clearly show that during these time the influence of Christianity in their land is really obvious. In this story we are asked to imply the post colonialism theory where there is a clash of two different cultures. As usual one is the colonizer and the other was the one being colonized. And there will be conflicts that will pop out. We can notice the clash of two different cultures in the story, the traditional and the westernized culture where in people in the remote area of the country still live the life bounded by their tradition and those who live in the city live a life just like the way we are living today. Expectedly as the clash began there were conflicts that arise. First was with the beliefs. A concrete example of this is the part that the Ibos believed that marriage is arranged by the parents of the people involved contradicting to the belief of the urbans who says and thinks that marriage is about love. The story vividly show the fact that for the Ibos, love is not a requirement in a marriage what they only require is that a material wife is someone who is a good Christian and able to do all the things that a wife should do at
