Social media advertising means using social media networks such as Facebook, Twitter, and Pinterest to achieve online circulation and generate brand awareness. Coca-Cola’s motive for advertising is to appeal its consumer’s attention to buying new products. Moreover, Coca-Cola’s advertisements are intended to convince you into buying their products and enlightening you that Coca-Cola will gratify your desires. Also, with its outstanding marketing strategies, for example, “Share a Coke.” Coca-Cola personalizes the sharing experience by exchanging out some of its logos on the 20-ounce bottles for popular names around the world. Moreover, Coca-Cola uses the movement’s hashtag, #ShareaCoke, to celebrate stories, share photos and have a chance to be featured on Coca-Cola billboards across the country and ShareaCoke.com gallery. Consumers can experience the movement online by personalizing Coke bottles and sharing them with friends on Facebook, Tumblr, Twitter and Instagram. Starbucks has been successfully accomplished their social media marketing plan since the first days of social media and social commerce. Being one of the earliest companies to use social media for marketing and social commerce, Starbucks has undoubtedly gained a positive position. In addition, Starbucks advertising strategy is designed around their company website and a variety of social websites, including Twitter, Facebook, Pinterest, Google+, YouTube, and My Starbucks Ideas. Thus, when Starbucks takes a photo, it shares it on Instagram, posts it to Facebook, tweets it on Twitter, and pins it on Pinterest. Therefore, it obviously goes to where all its customers tend to follow; advertising its products. Thus being said, one advertisement that has generated a lot of business for Starbucks is their Half-Priced Frappuccino: Happy Hour. For a limited time only, Starbucks customers can get a Frappuccino for half price when they visit the store between 3-5 p.m., aka "Frappuccino Happy Hour."
