When the iPhone was introduced back in 2007, it became a successful product in a short amount of time. It offered many features that other competitors did not offer and was just a more appealing cell phone to buy. However, as time progressed, many of the iPhone’s competitors began to offer the same features as the iPhone and some even surpassed the amount offered towards customers. Now in 2015, it is difficult for one to say which exactly is the best smartphone due to the variety of options. Even though other companies like Samsung and HTC have compelling phones, I believe the iPhone is the best smartphone as of right now. The typical customer buys a smartphone with the expectations of it lasting for at least two years or more. This statement is completely true because on paper, the iPhone seems to be way behind and outdated compare to others. The Galaxy S6 offers an eight core processor with three gigabytes of RAM, while the iPhone 6 barely offers a dual core processor with only one gigabyte of RAM. The Galaxy S6 should clearly outperform the iPhone 6; however, Apple does have an advantage. Apple has the benefit of creating their own software and hardware. Due to Apple designing their own hardware and software, the two can integrate with each other much more effectively than other smartphones. Smartphones like the Galaxy S6 don’t design both of their hardware and software, so they have to include powerful hardware in order for their phone to operate effectively. Therefore, the iPhone makes up for its underpowered specifications with better hardware and software integrations, which allows an iPhone to operate just as well as a more powerful
