Abercrombie and Fitch have several competitors. However American Eagle has matched up with Abercrombie and Fitch with every age group. For a target market of 18-22 year-old they have the standardize American Eagle. When we move down to children’s apparel Abercrombie and Fitch has their brand name Abercrombie Kids and American Eagle’s competing brand is 77kids. Additionally they both have brands for young women; Abercrombie and Fitch’s brand is Gilly Hicks and American Eagle’s brand is Aerie. They are two different companies with two different marketing plans however they are top competitors for each other. Aéropostale and Abercrombie and Fitch’s merchandise is very similar especially their jeans and shirts. However the difference between Aéropostale and Abercrombie and Fitch is Aéropostale focuses a lot on giving back to the community. Aéropostale is a big help to charities and organizations. In addition, when a customer bought an exclusive t-shirt Aéropostale would give out popular albums.
The Gap Inc. owns Old Navy, Banana Republic, Piperlime and Athleta. The Gap Inc. and Abercrombie and Fitch have numerous stores that carter to various markets. Also, the business plan of close domestic stores and expanding internationally is very comparable to each other (Chloé 's Portfolio).

The stock seems to go up one day and then down the next. I am uncertain whether to invest into this stock right away or not. However on my second to last day the stock increased dramatically from 19.49 to 24.37 (Google). Seeing this made me aware that the stock always came back up and the key to buying stock is to buy low and sell high. Therefore I would invest a small amount into Abercrombie and Fitch. In addition Abercrombie and Fitch pays dividends to its shareholders. They issue a cash dividend at a yearly rate of $0.80 per share and the current dividend yield is 4.1% (NASDAQ.com). Dividends are paid in each of March, June, September, and December. There are approximately 40,300 stockholders, according to Abercrombie and Fitch’s estimate
