Currently as an air traffic controller at the Tyndall Air Force Base, my job requires me to abide by many rules set by the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA). During work there are over 100+ rules that I must abide by every day, or it might hinder the safety of passengers and pilots on the plane flying through the airspace I control. Nevertheless, I believe this role fits me best because during work I must follow over 100+ rules daily. Also I can easily learn and inform all parties of the legal rules that must be followed regarding campaign organization.
Election Process
The start of an election process is quite simple, usually the process begins when an organizer working for the union contacts number of employees at the firm they are trying to unionize (Labor Union Organizing in the United States Workplace | HR Topics for human resources, n.d.). Next the union will gather signatures from the employees showing that they want that union to represent them. Before the union can ask the National Labor Relations Board (NLRB) to hold an election to determine the employees desire; the union first needs signature from 30 percent of the employees. Philosophy laden approach is a technique for a company to decrease the chance of unionizing. For the employer to do decrease the chance, the employer and employee need to focus on the relationship that they have with each other and improve on it. The employer usually equals or exceeds the pay the union is trying to offer the employees. Also they provide large amounts of targeted training and development programs to continuously upgrade skills, and prepare employees to perform better in expanded job roles. (Fossum, 2008) The Philosophy-Laden approach helps create a dispute free work environment and ensures there are no interference by a third party.
