My background includes almost 3 years in the communications field, where my job description has ranged from administrative tasks to generating, planning, copywriting, designing and executing marketing/advertising and public relations campaigns. I can work under pressure and follow strict deadlines.
I am the former Marketing Manager at The Shorthorn Newspaper, Department of Student Publication at The University of Texas at Arlington, where I was promoted from the Marketing Assistant position. A major part of my job was to promote the products and services that were offered as well as create and manage events. During my education, I have juggled multiple projects for work and school simultaneously, I possess a diverse range of skills and progressive experience that align with the position that is offered. My ultimate goal is to achieve the highest step in my career, and to be able to change the way people look at women from my cultural background as a Muslim Pakistani woman. I speak Urdu and English fluently, read and write Arabic and Spanish with expertise, but speak moderately. I have traveled and lived in multiple countries including Pakistan, UAE, USA, Malaysia and Oman. All this gives me a competitive edge in working independently as well as in groups with people from diverse backgrounds.
