Books such as Animal Farm by George Orwell, The Adventures of Tom Sawyer by Mark Twain, and even The Holy Bible. Animal Farm was a side by side comparison of the Soviet Union to allow people to understand in depth just how Russia was functioning. The many characters and situations within the story were a resemblance to real figures and true events. Twain’s emphasis on racial tensions and southern culture in The Adventures of Tom Sawyer had satirical components when mocking the regular actions of a church service. (Ch.5). Many wouldn’t believe that satirical use in the bible is was possible but it is. We learn that as humans, people tend to idolize certain people or objects as god-like .(Isaiah 44:12-20). One of the commandments that Cchristians follow or at least required is “Thou shall not have no gods before Me”. (1st Commandment).
