Mark Jefferson Essay

Mark Jefferson is a photography teacher in his late 30’s, unlike other men his age he happens to have a very edgy and hip look about him, drawing the attention of teenagers towards him and connecting to him easily. He appears slightly younger than his age, with an uneven haircut and a beard that seems left to grow out. His personality is very drawing and charismatic, appearing to others are a chill person with no problems or suspicion to committing crimes.
Mark Jefferson is a character from a game released in 2015 called Life is Strange. The game revolves around a girl named Max Caulfield trying to solve a mystery of where the missing girl, Rachel Amber, disappeared to. The story takes place in the small town of Arcadia Bay in Oregon, United States. Mark Jefferson throughout the entire story seems as the good teacher that supports Max and seems genuinely interested in wanting her to improve as a student and photographer. It can only be treated if the individual wants to be treated. It’s very hard to tell if people with this disorder genuinely want to be treated or say they want to be treated only to appear normal in society once again. If Jefferson’s case I highly doubt he would be treated. The game had two endings, one of which Jefferson was shot and killed, the other he was arrested. In the ending in which he was arrested nothing is said about him afterwards. It is easy to tell that Jefferson will not accept treatment, firmly believing he is better than everyone else and that he was going to get away with his crimes. He has been like this for most of his life so this belief will be very hard to shake out of him since he isn’t willing to change.
