Antony's speech was more personal than it was when Brutus was speaking. Antony's opening to his speech was more approchable than it was when Brutus had open. He starts off with "I come here to bury Caesar, not to praise him." Although he starts off with that Antony does nothing but praise him. He than says, "I speak not to disprove what Brutus spoke, but here I am to speak what I do know." What Antony does know is that was Brutus has done was nothing more than to make sure that Caesar does not get the crown and named King of Rome. Antony kept repeating that Brutus was an "ambitious" meaning that he was contradicting what Brutus had just said.

Boh of these speeches were very pursuasive but Antony's speech was more approchable to what he was trying to get at, and was more persuasive to what he wanted the audience to know about why Caesar died. Mark Antony's speech was more persuasive because he made points to contrast what Brutus said in his speech about Caesar. He said Brutus was wrong for what he did. Brutus also had said "would you rather Caesar was living and die all slaves.." which was countered by Antony. It was countered by Antony saying that Caesar felt deeply for his people, and was kindhearted in the things he has done so far for

In my opinion, Antony speech was more delivered better because includes several persuasive details in his speech. After saying that his intent wasn't to praise Caesar, he says, "He was my friend, faithful and just to me. " Antony's speech points out many of Caesar acts that had benefited them as Roman citizens. He plays with their minds saying that Caesar had been generous to them and protected them from the "intruders". He uses rhetorical questions, irony, and etc. to effectively persuade his audience to join his side instead of Brutus'.…

Brutus’ tone was unapologetic, sad for having to kill Caesar, and “honorable”. Even though Antony’s tone is angry towards the end it starts off appeasing the crowds then humble or sincere. When you speak to the audience with respect rather then as lower class you gain more admiration. Also the fact that he went after Brutus helped him to be more effective since he can prove Brutus’s statement incorrect and press the right buttons. Therefore, Mark Antony’s speech was more successful.…

t is without a doubt that Anthony is much more the persuasive speaker than Brutus thought him to be. Brutus should have listened to Cassius about not letting Anthony speak on behalf of Caesar's funeral. Anthony knew how to stroke the crowd into believing that he had no special qualities or talents that could ever come up with such an outrageous plot to kill Caesar. Anthony used Brutus as an example to prove to the Romans everything that he wasn’t. Anthony to the attention from him and put it on Brutus and Cassius and in return made Anthony look like an ordinary person grieving the loss of a dear friend.…

In William Shakespeare's play Julius Caesar Mark Antony’s speech is more persuasive than the one Brutus gives because he uses better tactics and more powerful rhetoric. In his speech Brutus uses gravitas and ethos which in the end backfires because it makes his speech less relatable and portrays him as better than the plebeians. Mark Antony gives his speech after Brutus and he uses this to his advantage by using verbal irony and more specially sarcasm. Mark Antony uses pathos and exaggeration to create powerful rhetoric and to connect with the human emotions of the plebeians. In his funeral speech Mark Antony uses tactics that better relate to human nature and better connect with the plebeians rather than Brutus who tries to appeal to logic…
