Larry Hawes’ main point on his Forbes article, “Marissa Mayer’s Yahoo Mistake (It’s Not What You Think) was Marissa should have made her policy as temporary rather than a final judgement, where five hundred out of twelve thousand Yahoo! employees have to give up their work-from-home status. Hawes stated that Mayer’s policy was short sighted and non-motivational to her employees. To this extent, I completely agree with the authors point of view, I felt that to fix current Yahoo!’s crisis, every employee has to be in their office as a team. But it should be only, like Hawes said, done in a period of a time frame.
