Marionette ‘Alright, and cut! I want to give that scene another go, get them ready.’ The actors standing in a close embrace in front of the camera released each other and were immediately swarmed by a team of makeup artists working to touch up their makeup.

Aivilo ran a hand down her face with an air of exasperation, her artistic vision refused to translate onto the camera despite her numerous attempts. It had been a long day; the air conditioning wasn’t enough to counteract the unbearable summer heat, leading to an irritable crew, all of whom were waiting for Aivilo to wrap up the day. Leaning her head back and shutting her eyes she sighed, enjoying the warm red that appeared before her eyes. Tomorrow was the last day of the shoot, and she still had the climax of the movie to direct. She wasn’t happy with what she had written, but if she wanted to break into the film industry she had to make sacrifices, even if that meant temporarily abandoning her artistic vision in order to please her studio. Sighing again, she opened her eyes and straightened herself out before shouting for the set to be cleared. The disgruntled crew dragged themselves into position, hoping for Aivilo to call it a day soon. Once the actors had gotten into position, she called action and watched the magic unfold.
