There already are medicines out there that are made of marijuana. Such as Marinol, Cesamet, Epidiolex and Sativex. Both Marinol and Cesamet are pill forms of THC, it’s used to help treat nausea and the lack of appetite for patients that have to do chemotherapy and AIDS patients. Sativex is a drug that is still in clinical trials for patients with breast cancer and it is approved in more than twenty countries to help treat muscle spasms from MS and cancer pain. It’s a combination of THC and is sprayed into the mouth instead of smoking it. Epidiolex is a highly restricted medication and is used to treat children’s epilepsy. The FDA approved of this drug in 2013.
