A current event in today’s society that demonstrates bias in the media is Marines nude photo scandal. This nude photos scandal is now widening worldwide this situation is a very serious matter due to invading of personally privacy. Commander Robert Neller was forced to confront and admit to the nude photo sandal once reporters from news sources begin to question him. Reports demonstrate photos and in some cases videos of Marine women all linked to a Facebook page called “Marines United”. The facebook page is allegedly used to share nude photos and pornographic video of females marines. The women in these photos and in some cases videos are all unware that their photos end up on the page out to the public for anyone to view. The photos or …show more content…
FOX NEWS message is mainly to encourage victims to stand up for themselves and put a stop to this crucial epidemic. In Nude photo-sharing scandal at Marines expands to other branches, an online article written by Jennifer Griffin, provides the viewers with a women who experienced this sandal personally when she states, “Erika Butner, a former Marine radio operator whose nude photos were shared on the site in question, says she was disgusted when she found out and encourages others to speak out.” Griffin indicates this point to the viewers to demonstrate the victim's story and allows the viewers to see what she has to go through with this sandal. ABC NEWS main message focuses on who is held accountable for the sandal and how America can fix and stop the sandal from becoming any bigger. CNN’s main message is to inform the viewers that the women in these photos or in some cases videos were aware and gave consent in allowing their photo to be taken. The 3 messages from the 3 sources are ethical because they all relate to moral principles and all involve questioning of right and wrong behavior. All 3 messages are different due to people having different opinions, beliefs and the way the sources decide to present the information in different point of views allowing the viewer to from their own opinion being fairly
