Those of us in the military typically stay away from talking or speaking about anything religious driven as we don’t want to offend anyone. I personally think, that the way I understand how mankind is created in God’s image does not affect my vocation in any negative way. In this essay, I will use multiple examples to prove that, the belief in the image of God being a foundation to the Christian faith, and explain how this belief effects the way I interact with people of my chosen vocation. I will do this by using the Marine Corps as an example. One example of how we are created in God’s image, in my vocation is the way we dress and look. Since I am in the Marine Corps it is only proper to start from the beginning of my career Boot Camp.
