Improved Essays
A Marine Biologist studies the organisms in the oceans or marine waters. Not only do Marine Biologist deal with Marine life but others do too like, microbiologist, marine mammalogist and Fishery Biologist. For the most part, these Biologist have a long way before achieving their goal. They have many science, english and math requirements they deal with before. As far as education goes they first need to take the following courses, biology, zoology, chemistry, physics, biometrics, mathematics, and statistics. Although many people think that this career choice does not require English this field does. English is an essential because the Marine Biologist need to record their data and be able to write and publish their recordings. Not only English …show more content…
Marine scientist study other animals in their natural habitat. They evaluate effects of the environment and industry on animals and they also recommend alternative operating conditions for industries. As part of their job they also estimate plant and wildlife population and analyze characteristic of animals to identify and classify them. They also study and analyze ocean ecology and water life. Many Marine Biologist are employed by government agencies, private companies and industry organizations and some of these organization and industries use marine plants to create products for use or they may get samples to test contaminations. Others may work for zoos, aquariums, monitoring marine animals and conduct studies. Average Marine Biologist get paid $ 57,430 per year but this is also wildlife Biologist and …show more content…
One of the things that tie these two studies are the fact that Marine Biologist study the environment of the the Marine life and study the life of the animals in the ocean. Environmental Science studies the interaction of the physical, chemical, and biological aspects of the environment, this includes organisms. Marine biologist study the physical aspect of marine life and use those studies to publish and write about them. Environmental Science is the founder of all environmental careers since Marine life, Forest life, Desert life, is a branch of Environmental Science. Learning the material of the environment is important because Marine Biologist need to know the type of environment they are in and need to understand their surrounding just like an Environmentalist does and they should be able to comprehend the environment they are in. Marine Biologist study deeply into the environment of and how the land aspect of the earth can affect the Marine life so they should be able to understand environments surrounding the oceans. In order to succeed with the approach to help endangered species, Marine Biologist need to conduct experiments with the environment to see what the problem is. Not only to help animals but to rebuild damaged marine ecosystems it is a necessity to know the root of the problem in which the organisms would be

For this purpose biotechnologists use microorganisms which are used as natural scavengers, so genetically modified microbes are used to clean the environment [1]. If biotechnology is used responsibly, it may provide us with renewable energy (bioenergy), less toxic products synthesis and new methods for monitoring environment [2]. These biotreatments rely on the physiology of microbes and their working is enhanced by optimizing the environmental factors. Microorganisms used for this purpose are aerobic, anaerobes and microaerophilies…

Animals are also used to test out new chemicals and drugs to ensure the safety of humans and the environment. Animals and humans have similarities in their genetic makeup. This makes animals a very important part of studying genetic disorders such as muscular dystrophy. Scientist have discovered they can alter genes in animals with genetic disorders which has led to the development of treatments for diseases such as cystic fibrosis and sickle cell anemia. Last, Animals models are used in education to teach students the basic anatomy of humans and animals.…

As architects we determine the design of the buildings, the site material and the components of the building. Putting up a structure whether commercial development, infrastructure for the public sector, housing estates all these development have potential negative impact on the natural habitats, affecting plant species and wildlife. When designing a building the consideration also goes into the construction material which are processed and delivered through process which impact biodiversity negatively. Therefore, as architects it our duty to protect sensitive sites and minimizing the damage to the ecology. We also have the opportunity to enhance the biodiversity by creating habitat as part of the construction or development projects.…

Climate Change is already having a profound effect on life in the marine ecosystem. It influences fisheries’ productivity through its effects on primary production, food web, interactions and distribution of species. This gave way for climate-related issues on fisheries and aquaculture for being identified. This paper develops a framework for the study of how climate change affects fish productivity and the possible impacts of low fish production on aquaculture and to us humans. So further research must be done to understand and prepare for the impacts that climate change will have on aquatic ecosystems.…

Spatial variability in local plankton communities can have large effects on the composition and diversity of the secondary production with in an area. Therefore, it is important for scientists to study the factors that affect plankton community’s abundance, diversity and dominance. In this study multiple physical and biological factors were observed in order to examine how surface plankton communities varied with distance from shore in the nearshore environment of the Southern California Bight. Through this study we have identified that small phytoplankton, predominately dinoflagellates, dominate the stratified waters off of the coast of Dana Point. As well as identifying other abiotic factors that directly affect the vertical and horizontal…
