Marilyn Mosby was born January 22, 1980. In the Boston area. She is 36 years old. She was raised by her grandparents. Her mother and father were both young during the time of her birth.

Marilyn has 2 Children Aniyah, and Nylyn both girls. Her husband Nick J. Mosby, he is Baltimore city's council. On October 26, 2016 Nick announced that he is running mayor for Baltim Marilyn have been married since 2005.

She attended Dover-Sherborn High School. She furthered her education by receiving a scholarship at Tuskegee University, Alabama, and earned her Juris Doctor degree from

Boston College Law School. She first became interested in the law when her cousin at the age age 17 was shot and killed in front of her by a mistake in identity. Her father and grandfather were also police officers.

Marilyn is also Baltimore city's attorney. Marilyn received a college degree to Tuskegee University, Alabama when she was 20 years old. Then earned her Juris Doctor degree from Boston College Law school.

Mosby was first an Assistant State's Attorney for Baltimore City from 2005 to 2012. She became a litigator for Liberty Mutual Insurance. In 2013 she announced plans to run for State's Attorney for the city of Baltimore. Mosby won the general election, receiving 94 percent of the vote, defeating her opponent. He was imprisoned of killing his patients. Between 1946 and 1956, more than 160 of his patients died under suspiciously. He was tried and acquitted for the murder of one patient in 1957.
