So she worked hard to surround herself with the idea of love and consent company of people. In her three failed marriages all she ever wanted was to be love and wanted. Also to be love for whom she was, but how can any love a person for who they are when that person is not sure who they are. On top of the stress in her personal life she was given many prescription to keep her going. Marilyn seems to suffer from borderline disorder. From my research of Marilyn you can see that she showed traits of borderline personality disorder. According to (Stangor, C.2013,pp 648-650).) the BPD traits are, “emotionally unstable, vulnerable, rageful, depressive and self destructive” Marilyn pass may have been a pre-curser for BPD. About three quarters of those diagnose with BPD are females, also with a past experience of abandonment issues (psych book). It seems like Monroe growing up in an invaliding environment, then forced to live a life made to look perfect on the outside made her more assessable to develop borderline personality disorder.
