Marilyn Monroe Courage

Have you ever wondered about courage and resilience? Resilience means capacity to recover quickly from difficulties. Courage means the ability to do something that frightens one. Three people that demonstrate courage and resilience are Beyoncé Knowles, Marilyn and Lexi Youngberg.

First Beyoncé demonstrated resilience by continuing to perform alone after her group broke up. In addition in notablebiographies.com it says “in 2003, Knowles released her debut solo recording, Dangerously in Love.” This shows that even though her group broke up she kept on doing what she loved to do. Also she also showed courage by firing her dad as manager and hiring someone else. In Biography.com it says “Beyoncé decided to drop her father as her manager in March 2011”. This shows the she had courage by doing what was best for her and her career. …show more content…
She showed resilience because she was in a orphanage most of her childhood, the text from prezi.com says “ Her unstable mother Gladys was put into a mental institution which led to Marilyn being put into many orphanages and foster homes during her childhood.” This shows she had a difficult childhood, and she came back from all of her difficulties and became a well known actor and women role model . Also the directors thought Marilyn was not pretty enough and they also thought she wasn’t a good actor. In the text from prezi.com it says “ Her producer thought she wasn’t attractive and lacked acting skills .” This shows that she had a hard time with her acting jobs, but then she came back a became one of the most well known actors and one of the prettiest actors
