Our world today is filled with more villainous acts than we can count, whether it be as small as a lie or as grand as several murders. Charles Manson was an American villain who was guilty of an abundance of malicious acts - some that sound too obscene to even be true. A cult leader with around a hundred followers, Manson and his family are “thought to have carried out some 35 killings” (“Charles Manson”, A&E Networks Television). Charles Manson was a man who knew how to persuade people to do his bidding for him, and get what he wanted. Charles Manson became a guru after getting out of jail in the latter part of the 1960s, and would tell his followers that they were the reincarnation of the original Christians and that the establishment was playing the part of the Romans. While he did not outright say so, he told these people that he was Christ and had visions of being crucified. The female followers were all impressionable young women who came from middle class families whose parents had divorced. They did whatever he asked them, without question; it helped that they were taking hallucinogenic drugs at the time he was saying all of this.…

REPORT TO PAROLE BOARD ON CHARLES MANSON Parole is not setting free those found guilty of a felony. It is simply a release before the set time of an entire sentence. Yet still, the parolee remains under supervision just to balance the sentence and must typically abide by the parole conditions or the expected behaviors (Andrew, 2005). Nonetheless, since it is not the judges or prison officials who grant parole, parole boards must consider a myriad of issues before granting or rejecting parole. Typical in every state, the board is expected by law to consider a prisoners release request by examining: 1) the seriousness of the committed offense and if any parole recommendations were granted by the sentencing judge, 2) has the prisoner been abiding…
