Physical, social, and emotional developmental relevance:
Maria has a loving family at home and she is cared for. I know every child develops in physical, emotional and social growth at their own pace; however, I do not feel she is behind in any of the categories mentioned. She is very interactive for an eight year old with both her peers and adults. She has constant exposure to broaden her understanding of the world per Mrs. J. She could understand simple phrases that were spoken in English. She also communicated a few basic sentences based strictly on her needing to talk. She was pulled from the program since her mother and father did not want her in it and they had it out with the district over her only speaking English at home and not knowing where she learned Spanish from. Maria was not tested in second grade because according to her parents she only speaks English and that is the only language she knows. I was unable to obtain or photograph her first grade CELDT scores; however, the following chart contains her scores in the different categories for first
