Maria Antonia's Impact On Society

Recognized as the most controversial woman in history, Marie Antoinette was also said to be the most misunderstood women of the 18th century. Her name is often brought up because of her significant impact on France’s economy and society that changed France forever. Maria Antonia, later known as Marie Antoinette, was born on November 2, 1755, in Vienna, Austria. The fifteenth child of Empress Maria Theresa and Emperor Francis I, and the eleventh daughter. Growing up, Maria’s life was formal behind the scenes. Antonia’s parents were engaged in the affairs of Austria, with little time to spend with their daughter; however, in the summer, the family would take country vacations where the family would spend time together.
