Margot Monologue

Decent Essays
I choose to draw this scene because I wanted to show how removed and shy Margot was. I drew the children looking out the window longing to see the sun, and I drew Margot also wanting to see the sun but farther away from the group kids. Near Margot I made the colors dim and less vibrant because I wanted to show how gloomy her mood is. The closer to the window I got the more color I put; I did this to foreshadow the sun that was to come. I drew the child's face who puts Margot in the closet angry and looking at her so you could see how mad he was that there was no sun yet.

Hi Rudin, Thanks for letting me know of your upcoming run-through. No I'm not sick and tired at all, I am excited for you (tired maybe lol). If I would live closer I wouldn't have to think about it at all, even with the Rose Bowl on at the same time. I am not surprised the maestro would not like to have anybody at the rehearsal, I was actually thinking of asking for myself, but I dismissed the thought for that reason, remember in London they didn't like it either. Thanks for willing to Skype, but under the circumstances, I will go to the Rose Bowl.…

And the kids knew this. The children were very jealous of Margot because she used to be able to see the sun often while they only see it every seven years. Their jealousy led them to lock Margot in the closet while they all got to go outside and play in the sun. All of the children didn't have any control over what she sees and locking her in the closet wouldn't fix any problem.…

“Thank you Old Lady Daniels!” I turn to face the faded white picket fence and continue to lightly skip to a rhythm, trying my best to dodge the cracks of the sidewalk leading out of the lady’s house. She sits on the wicker rocking chair on her dull porch that’s coordinates with her dull house which coordinates with this dull atmosphere. Once I start to get close to the road, I turn to face her to offer her a friendly wave. “Goodbye, Gregory.…

I watched as Mrs. Poe stirred a pot of chili sedulously in the crowded kitchen. She'd planned everything, and it was all finally in order, yet she continued to stir the pot while everyone else rested before the lunch line formed. She seemed so dedicated, perfecting every stroke, making sure everything was perfect. When the lunch line began to form, I started putting warm rolls on every plate that was handed to me, studying the faces of those who waited, then continued to send them down the assembly line. I saw a man with bad burns, the pigment of his skin dis-colored in multiple areas.…

"Well, that is a hopeful sign, I suppose. I am not a man who particularly enjoys much socializing, and most of the time I spend at my estate in Kent. I have especially little tolerance for gossip, either indulging in it or being the subject of it. I mention this because I know that you have quite a long list of scandalous behaviors attached to your name, either by fact or rumor. I know you are still young enough that you will naturally wish to socialize, and I don't intend to deny you the opportunity, though I may not always choose to join you.…

Today I am going to talk, in very abridged form, a little bit about my experience of getting to know the amazing person who goes by the name of Cecilia Bernard, and what I have learned about her over the past three years of knowing her, which was both a fortunate and unfortunate event. Fortunate, obviously, because I got to meet her and see everything great about her. Unfortunate, though, as it took me as long as it did to meet her. What I first learned about her is that she was very open and inviting. I found this out on the way to New Orleans.…
