With all of these concepts and questions in mind, I would argue that diversity is a compelling, important and complex state interest. If the objective of social justice movements and professions is to dismantle the society, values, and systems that enacts and perpetuate disparities and marginalization among populations, diversity must remain of interest to the government, morally and constitutionally. The political and constitutional obligation to attain diversity allows governmental entities to utilize judicial power, structural standardization, and fiscal resources to break down barriers, visible and invisible.
