Margeret Weston, CFO of Teletech Corporation got a threat letter from Victor Yosssarian. Victor Yossarian owns a 10% stake in Teletech Corporation. In his letter he says that the company is misusing its resources and that it should get rid of its Products & Systems segment and only focus on the Telecommunications Services segment in order to create value for it shareholders. The hurdle rate that the company uses in the assessment of Net present value and economic profits had created concerns and debates for the past few months. The hurdle rate of 9.30% was applied to all investment at the firm, while the riskiness of its two segments were not the same.
