Least effective methods: without using any form of birth control. Even the low effective options, such as a condom, diaphragm, cervical cap, sponge have 84-89% of the effectiveness. Family planning is the most cost-effective health investment, for every dollar spending can reduce the cost of pregnancy-related care by $1.47 (“Adding It Up 2014,” n.d.). When couples, especially women empowered to the use of contraceptives, they are better enabled to complete their education and their earning power is improved.
