Marcus Luttrell: A True Hero

Marcus Luttrell A hero is somebody who is brave and will risk their lives to save others. Heroes think about others first and themselves last. Heroes are people who make the world a much better place. Heroes are people who are honorable, but instead of worrying about how popular they can get for their courageous deeds, they worry about helping more. A person who many people consider a hero is Marcus Luttrell for being brave, gallant, and dauntless. The life of Marcus Luttrell was pretty amazing. He was born on November 7, 1975, in Houston,Texas. Marcus and his brother would hunt, fish, and even wrestle alligators. At the age of fourteen, they both started training for the Navy S.E.A.L.s, which they had both been wanting to do since an early age. Marcus and his twin brother attended Sam Houston State University. They began training with a former U.S. Army soldier, Billy Shelton, and joined the Navy in March of 1999. Marcus Luttrell and his S.E.A.L. team consisting of Michael P. Murphy, Danny Dietz, Matthew G. Axelson, Daniel R. Healy, James Suh, Marcus Luttrell, and Eric Patton aren't just considered heroes because they were Navy S.E.A.L.s. It is because of their tenacious acts and their brotherhood with as they fought together to protect America. Marcus Luttrell was the last S.E.A.L. on his team of four soldiers to survive. Marcus single-handedly fought off the Taliban as a true hero, while being shot at and hit numerous times by bullets and shrapnel. Marcus and all the members of S.E.A.L. Team 10 are considered heroes because of the courageous and brave actions that they did they were brave enough to sacrifice their lives to protect Americans and keep America free.
