Marcus Brutus was one of the most complex characters in this play. In this play Brutus has a proud reputation for honor and nobleness, but is always practical, and is often naïve. Knowing that he is defeated, he desires to end his whole life. Brutus wants to end his life and fall on his own sword. Brutus fought until he could fight no more. One of his qualities of being a tragic hero is he has a tragic flaw. That tragic flaw is being honorable, virtuous character who is destined for a downfall, a suffering or a defeat. Brutus’ fate was decided when he decided to listen to the wrong people. Brutus’ tragic fall was he cared too much about what the people would think, which allowed Antony to live and cost Brutus his life. Brutus did die an honorable
