Marci Francisco Research Paper

Marci Francisco was born on April 22, 1950 in Prairie Village, Kansas she is currently 65 years of age. She is a graduate from the University of Kansas for architecture. She is married to Joe Bickford and she does not have any children and she currently lives in Lawrence, Kansas. Marci believes in a Unitarian religion and her political identification is democratic. Francisco entered politics in 1977 when she was elected by her neighborhood association to the Community Development Block Grant Advisory Board. Marci Francisco was mayor of Lawrence, Kansas, from 1981 to 1983 and City Commissioner from 1979 to 1983.

Marci is a democratic member of the Kansas Senate, and has been representing the 2nd District since 2005. She has also been named as one of the 22 “ Pro-Jobs, Transportation Leaders” in the Kansas Senate. Her campaign platform from the most recent election is Education, Funding for the Arts, Judicial Selection, Affordable Care Act. She expresses for education that “Reducing school budgets means not only larger class sizes and fewer courses and activities, but loss of job in the state.”.
