Marchionne In Chrysler

In reading chapters three and four this week, I would recommend Marchionne embed the organizational culture through mentoring and modeling a leadership program in Chrysler to develop strong leaders to take charge while he is in Canada (Kreitner & Kinicki, 2013, p. 81). The mentoring environment must be fully supported by the leaders to build a solid foundation for an immense relationship and practice trust so the team feels like they could function solely on their own as a self-directed team if necessary. Marchionne must make sure the mentoring values are closely aligned with the values of the organization. The self-directed team aspect will work as long as the members of the team embed Chrysler’s core values in all activities and decisions.
