While I was evolving into a young adult, I hardly got to see my mother due to her having multiple jobs. She would get up at 4am to go to work at a retail store, then in the afternoon she will run her personal hair salon, and aside from that she was also a leader at our local church. The list goes on, she even attended college to further her education. Growing up in a household where I didn't grow up with everything I wanted, has inspired me to become a hard working son, student, and servant to reach for the impossible. Being part of the high school marching band has taught me to collaborate and work efficiently with others. In this case, approximately 150 students, in which we all have the same goal. The goal is to play a 7-8 minute marching show with minimum mistakes as possible.This was the year of 2016 AREA auditions, this is one of the biggest and most prestigious marching band contest, it was an audition that we never thought we would be able to qualify

Tears of joy, everyone running around hugging each other, and flashes of the picture where everywhere. This was an unforgettable moment in my life. This band or "family" of mine, has changed me to be the person I am today. Through hardships and stress, we all put in our best effort into our product. I made the band's goal in my own very personal goal in life. This personal goal of mine is to make my parents proud by pursuing my education into becoming the engineer I always wanted to become. Pursuing my education is very important to me because I come from a background where college was not presented to my parent due to their financial problems. I will be considered to be the first generation of attending a university, and I want to take advantage of this
