There is always a lot crossing your mind when you are about to get on the field for halftime to perform. It’s always nerve racking to know that you have to be right in line or that you not only have to stay in step but also remember your music. Mr. Isbell always makes us feel great because he reminds us that we are most certainly not perfect, but that we are hard workers who have done a lot this summer getting ready for the show. He also told us, we need to have with what we have learned. I also need to mention that just because school had already started back didn’t mean we got to go home right after. We were usually there until six every night preparing ourselves for competition. Our main goal was to make Mr. Isbell happy about our performance. You create a special friendship with the members and when you have to leave, all you can do is come back to visit and remind them that they are the next seniors and they have to show the freshman next year how we do it around here. I do know of some people who have quit band because their friends had graduated, but I believe we get ourselves prepared for adulthood when we continue something without our friends. I have never forgotten my younger
