Marc Anthony vs Brutus Julius Caesar, friend of Marc Anthony and Brutus alike. Brutus plotted against his good friend Caesar because of his ambition and fear of Caesar becoming power hungry and corrupt. After the stabbing and killing of Julius Caesar Brutus spoke to the people, as well did Marc Anthony after Brutus. Brutus began by saying that his love for Caesar was none less than another friend. He's showing that he only did what he did out of necessity and that he would not have done so if the situation had differed.
