Room 0742 is a studio design room located in king pavilion at the Iowa State University college of design. In a way it represents the beginning of my journey at Iowa State, for it is the first class room I had ever been in as a student, and its represents hours and hours of hard work and dedication to my major. It is a rather bittersweet place with times where it became a place to put my work on display as well as a place to spend many long nights and very early mornings working and developing. The space itself physically is not a room by traditional means it has no doors and stall like walls that rise above the ground six to eight inches as well as an opening at the top.…

The main problem that we plan to run into is funding. Seton Hall already provides a smaller and not as well put together commuter lounge. We suppose it will be difficult to convince them that a new and improved lounge is a smart use of their money. This problem will be tackled with simple statistics. As a first time student attending Spokane Falls Community College, I honestly thought that the only buildings and areas of campus involving my class schedule would be of importance. Little did I know that one room I would encounter would become my safe haven. I remember the first day stepping out onto campus and all I saw was a giant riddle waiting to be solved so many parking spaces, buildings, rooms, classes, and students. The anticipation bubbling up inside of me was exciting and rooted with a little nervousness. I was searching for place to keep me focused on my goal of being a successful student, a place to refresh between rigorous lectures.…

UNK Interior Design Classroom Evaluation College students spend a large amount of their time in a classroom. This argument becomes even truer when considering interior design students. Interior design students at UNK and other universities spend even more time in the classroom because of the work that has to be done on projects. Many late nights and extra hours will be spent in the classrooms provided by the university. The extra hours spent in these classrooms makes it very important for UNK to consider what the classroom’s physical setting is saying about the interior design program and by extension, UNK.…
