Maquoketan Narrative

One day Erin Haack and I decided to go to my little brother's basketball game in Maquoketa. I drove to meet my uncle up there. When we got there I chose to go get my best friend Olivia Clark and my boyfriend Devin Klein. When we got them we then went to the basketball game to watch my brother play. We didn’t really sitting there and watch we were moving around and doing other stuff at the same time like going to the bathroom and going over to the concessions. Once the game was over we went to leave and I ran into my uncle and told him that we were going to McDonald’s and then taking Olivia and Devin home and then taking Erin to DeWitt to her car. I then grabbed onto the stirring wheel as tightly as I could and tried my hardest to control the car. Then we started spinning and I didn’t know what to do. I sat there holding the wheel straight. I then tried to press the break as the break was locked and would not move. When we finally fell into the ditch, Olivia sat, screaming in the back seat “GET ME OUT OF HERE.” I realized that my door was the only one that would open so Devin pushed it open and I crawled out. As everyone got out I looked at everyone to see if everyone was okay and then I went to call my uncle and let him know I was in the accident. When I got off the phone with him I noticed that Erin and Olivia had left and I asked Devin where they went and he said, “They started walking to that house.” Pointing to a house that was about a mile away. Once they got back the guy followed them and picked us all up and took us back to his heated garage, which was nice considering it was in the single digit degrees that night. once my uncle got to the house and picked us up Olivia had already left. My uncle took us to the car and we looked at it then he called the cops and they showed up shortly
