Maple Syrup n’ Water Reactions Lab
In the egg osmosis lab, we set out to see the reactions that the egg had when placed in maple syrup or placed in distilled/pure water. Osmosis is when a solution attempts to bring itself to equilibrium by moving from a high concentration area to an area of low concentration, and in this lab; the egg attempted to bring itself to an area of low concentration. Secondly, hypotonic is an area of a solution that has low concentration, in contraire; hypertonic is an area of high concentration, in this lab the distilled water was hypotonic and the maple syrup was hypertonic.
