Humans with their ancestor have perhaps engaged in murder as individuals and in groups for a thousand of years. And atleast the history says everything , violence and politics is directly related. Nation states use violence against internal and external foes. Some authors see the violence as a way to achieve political goals such as territory, safety and glory. Carl Von Clausewitz famously referred to war as a way of achieving things in politics. But on the other hand, a second group of writers reflected violence as a result of failure in the government. Some people declared that violence is a public health-problem. Whatever reasons they may approach to people, it is certain that violence plays a subordinate role in political life. Let’s just say that a certain man had been bullied for so many days. The bully bullies him whenever they saw him so the man thought that maybe if he changed his outfit or make something that the bullies won’t see him, maybe they wont bother him anymore. But as the days past, those people never left him everyday without a bruise on his head or any parts of his body. There will come a time on where that man will lost all of his patience and will pick a fight on the bullies. And after that, when the bullies saw of what’s he’s capable of, they will left him alone and wont bother him anymore. This is what the government is trying to do. Forgiving and patience wont work to some people who devoted themselves to evil acts. They would just keep doing the same thing over and over again. We must learn to fight back and protect ourselves, otherwise, we will be the ones to suffer. Even in our homes, violence is also being practice. When we came to do some bad things or something that we musn’t do, our parents gives us penalty that makes us remember our sin. They do it everytime we commit sins. Sometimes it will make us wonder why do our parents are so angry when we did something like that, but as soon as we grow up, we will eventually came to realize why our parents did those things to us when we were just a child. They just did some violence for us to control. They did it because they had their reasons and

Non-violence works as a strategy to bring about change because it is morally and strategically superior to any other strategy, and because it works for changes that will benefit all people. Non-violence, as a morally and strategically superior method to bring about change is first seen in Document 1. Document 1 is a letter from Mohandas Gandhi to the English governor in India where Gandhi explains why he plans to use non-violence and how doing so will make British recognize the “wrong they have done to India,” (Doc 1/ Letter to Irwin). Also in the document, Gandhi points out that the physical harming of a peaceful entity violates the morals of nearly every civilization around the Globe. This means that by using non-violence, Gandhi’s movement is morally superior to his opposition, which put the morals and reputation of the opposition into play, coaxing the other side to comply with Gandhi’s requests.…

He states, “Violence does not work in the long run and if it is temporarily successful it replaces one violent form of power with another..” (Lines 75-77). The use of violence is not an efficient way to solve or address problems. It may be the quickest way, but it is only temporary, according to Chavez. He also mentions that resorting to violence only demoralizes workers and makes them forget what their initial goal is.…

“I believe that rioting should not be an immediate option when trying to prove a point or an opinion. Those who riot do not prove a point, but rather they bring about destruction and damage to all those around them. Thus, by trying to make changes in society, rioters only bring about destruction instead. “If a rioter causes destruction in order to prove a point, he has come to the solution that violence is the only answer to his problem. By the rioter resorting to violence, he shows his problem cannot be solved logically.…

No wrongs have ever been righted by riots and civil disorders. “Violence as a way of achieving racial justice is both impractical and immoral. It is impartial because it is a descending spiral ending in destruction for all…” I strongly agree with this quote said by Martin Luther King Jr. Violence is a very concerning issue in the past, present and certainly in the film “Do The Right Thing”. It is my personal belief that you cannot achieve anything by violence and that it only brings major unwanted consequences into our lives. The film “Do The Right Thing” illustrates the difference between violence and counter-violence and the diverse consequences they each convey. Violence is the act of physical force toward someone to hurt them and in cases kill them, in order to gain power.…

“Does Peace Have a Chance?” written by John Horgan was published in Slate magazine in 2009 on the topic of war and human nature. Horgan argues that, despite popular opinion, human nature is not innately violent and that peace is possible amongst the human race. The author supports his thesis through statistics on mortality caused by war, anthropological studies of hunter-gatherer societies, and the decline of large scale warfare. In general, Horgan’s essay style is effective in persuading the audience to consider his opinion after reading. Although the author makes poor comparisons and lacks in some definitions, he successfully utilises narration and description to engage the audience, prove the credibility of both himself and his facts, and…

Abstract: The reason of this report is to attempt to convince the reader that the Freedom Writers and their teacher Erin Gruwell have significant role in the book attempting to achieve equality and peace for not only for themselves but for everyone else including their most loved friends and family. In this novel the freedom writers present what it takes to make a change in our world and the lengths it takes for their voices to be heard. Introduction and background facts: Why do riots in the streets start? And why do we not get a lot with each other? The reason those questions cannot be answered in a single sentence, is because it is not a simple a simple answer.…

To start with my opinion on ¨Is violence ever justified?¨ My opinion is that it cannot be justified. I would say that the El Salvador situation definitely fits, but in recent events I would say this is also true of a place like North Korea. Kim Jong Un uses violence as a tool against his people because he is painfully aware that the only way he can control them is by violent means. If there was a unified people’s uprising in North Korea, he knows that he would be overthrown, and so he exerts control over his people by threatening violence to the people they care about. To conclude, Romero’s nonviolent actions by speaking out against the violence in El Salvador were powerful moves that threatened men who wanted control, and in reaction they resorted to violence by killing him.…
