"The raw materials arrive from Manzanillo or Laredo. The receiving clerk compares the count listed on the PO/ Packing list and Bill of landing, verifies quantities, and item of part number. When the boxes received are closed, the receiving clerk counts each box, but if the box is open, each unit is counted If the quantity is agree, it is entered as received into the system. If amounts disagree, the supervisor write an receiving report and receiving in fourth shift the amount received. The discrepancies are reported to Chicago via email and are investigated.

The inventory movements between raw material and work in profess are automatically made in Fourth Shift"

Per discussion with the Materials Manager and Plant Manager, there are not security cameras inside and outside the building. No instance of employees stealing inventory has happened in the last several years. Raw materials, finished goods are placed in locked areas that are constantly monitored by different employees. The maximum person responsible for the security of the building is the Plant Manager.
N/A - The plant performs the physical inventory in coordination with MK Corporate. Although,there are not written procedures the Materials Manager assignes the roles for the counters. The external auditor are present in the counters. All the material should be tagged. Then the information is keyed in the system to run the final inventory report. A detailed report is given to the Cost accounting Corporate. Refer to KM walk through for further details.
