When People Kill People

When a person kills someone there are many factors that can make a person want to murder. Some factors include; mental illnesses, social isolation, and environment (Greenemeier). An example of a murderer who experienced some of these factors was Charles Manson. Manson was born to a 16 year old prostitute and alcoholic and she did not want to raise him (Biography.com). Having no one to take care of him, Manson lived on the streets and committed crimes to get through life (Biography.com). He was also influenced by drugs and differents works of art and music to come up with his purpose to murder people who were famous (Biography.com). He would be rewarded for killing people by King Duncan. When someone is praised for doing something then they are most likely going to keep doing it because it feels good to be appreciated. Also as someone keeps committing doing some wrong they eventually lose the guilt for doing that wrongdoing (Self-Helpapedia). So as Macbeth kept killing people he became immune to feeling any kind of guilt and he was praised for doing it. Macbeth’s bloody history contributed to him murdering many people even after he murdered Duncan. He felt guilt when he first murdered Duncan but then he became paranoid and wanted to protect his throne. So he kept murdering people who used to love and honor him. As he kept murdering he felt no guilt because he was used to the feeling. Can Macbeth be blamed for being having a very brutal past? Macbeth had no choice, he had to kill. He was influenced to kill Duncan when Lady Macbeth questioned him. He changed his mind then because his own wife thought he did not love her and he was weak. Another reason for why some may argue that Macbeth had free will is that he chose to become evil. This is wrong as well because he did not think of betraying his king once until he was given his fate by the witches. Even then he had loyalty in him because he did not want to lose his honor and loyalty. However he is convinced to kill Duncan by Lady Macbeth, and then he became paranoid. He was paranoid because he thought someone was going to murder him and also the witches told him that Banquo 's son would become king someday. The paranoia causes him to kill anyone who he feels is a threat to him. He did not choose to become evil.
