Man has always faced various struggles and this seems to be the focus of Huxley writings. I particularly admire his thoughts in professing his thoughts. Man’s Struggle and the search for greater good is depicted in the movie through Chris Gardner and the struggles that he faces to make it in life. He is seen to be struggling in achieving his dreams while at the same time trying to keep his family together. Chris struggles seem to follow his everywhere as he decides to invest all his money in a business that takes too long to bring back the return. He creates portable bone density scanners, which he sells to physicians and other doctors for a low price. Happiness seems to be the fundamental factor that has played a necessary and vital role to the lives of many people. However, the search for happiness has been hampered by man struggle and the search for greater good. In his writings, Thomas Henry Huxley echo’s sentiments on man’s struggle and the search for the ultimate good, that are perfectly depicted in Chris Gardner movie, “In Pursuit of Happiness.” The movie seems to follow on Huxley words on the cosmic process that come inform of the thoughtless forces of nature and evolution where struggle is continuous. The struggle for existence will be experienced in one way or another depending on the
