A manned-mission to Mars is just too dangerous for people. First, Mars has a very cold climate which is a physical problem for humans. For example, the average temperature is -61 degrees Fahrenheit on Mars. Since the temperature is so harsh it could cause a serious problem to a person's body. Second, once you get away from Earth’s gravity it causes a physical problem to humans. For instance, scientists already know that away from Earth’s gravity harms the human body. Bones and muscles get weaker. The body produces less blood. Heart muscles atrophy. Since, the gravity in Mars is so much different than Earth’s, Mars can cause many problems to your health. First, Mars is a long way away from Earth, which means that it would take a very long time to arrive. For example, Just getting to Mars could take up to 10 months. Since, arriving to Mars would take almost a year, people on the mission would have to make sure that they bring enough of what they need to survive that long journey. Second, the cost of a manned-mission to Mars is outrageous. For instance, the price of a mission to Mars could approach $1 trillion, which this would cause a financial problem. Since, the cost of going to Mars is so high there could be a problem when trying to pay for trip. Last, heading home from Mars is even a bigger situation. For example, astronauts will need to wait until Earth and Mars are correctly aligned again before returning. How long will that take? A year and a half at least.
